About us

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a people financial stability and create a better future for them.

SSUS Bangladesh is a ‘not-for-profit’ non-government development organization set up in 1999 to work for the poor on a sustainable basis to reduce poverty. It is a specialized micro-finance institution that provides high-quality flexible financial services to low-income people, particularly women, who are regarded as its prime customers. To meet their ever-growing financial needs, SSUS has launched several loan products, a specialized product for UMC clients, two savings products, and one insurance scheme.

It introduces agriculture loans to small and marginal farmers and stepped-up loans to entrepreneurial clients called enterprise loans. The organization also has a wide range of hardcore poor development programs and a disaster mitigation program for the affected and vulnerable group of people. SSUS Bangladesh has been achieving milestones of success and eventually attained financial sustainability.
